Our Launch Partner Story
Blue Goji is an industry leader in the gamification of health. As an Anchor Partner for the Fung Fellowship, Blue Goji shares virtual reality (VR) technology with the cohort, supports valuable curriculum offerings, and provides real world inspiration for design challenges.
In the first year of the fellowship, Blue Goji supported the curriculum development and delivery of the machine learning and voice recognition module. Therefore, all fellows, regardless of previous academic background, gained basic skills and fluency in these topics to more meaningfully participate in multidisciplinary teams designing these cutting edge digital technologies. For fellows wanting to deepen their learning, Blue Goji provides internship opportunities both during the year and in the summer.
In the second year Venture Lab, Blue Goji sponsors two project teams grounded in impacting underserved communities. Both teams are working in parallel to better understand the potential for active gaming to improve student focus and concentration in the classroom. Each team works in direct partnership with Blue Goji, UC Berkeley, and specific schools to meet the needs of the student-teacher-parent populations in the Bay Area.
